New from Skyriven

Newtonian space combat for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

We make apps. Ours and yours.

Skyriven is an independent app studio. We make our own apps and games for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the web, and we build them for others.

Apps & Games

Shipped from the studio.

Before we build yours, we build ours. Every game and app here was designed and built in-house, across iPhone, Mac, and the web.

Yours

Your app, from a studio that ships its own.

We design, build, and ship iPhone, iPad, Mac, and web apps for founders and businesses, with the same craft and the same tools behind everything above. Fixed-scope proposals, a build you can tap every week, and you own all of the code.

We take on one build at a time, so yours gets the whole studio.

Founder & Lead, Skyriven

Who you work with

Led by a founder who ships.

Skyriven is led by Marc Hoag. He has built and run a venture-backed startup, practiced as a California tech attorney, and now designs and ships apps across iPhone, Mac, and the web with frontier AI tools.

That mix is the point. You get a founder's instinct for what actually matters, a lawyer's eye for privacy and risk, and a maker's obsession with the details your users feel. You talk to the person building your app, from the first call to launch day.

Skyriven, an AI-native app studio founded and led by Marc Hoag. We build native iOS apps in Swift and SwiftUI with Claude Code, Cursor, and Xcode, with every decision directed and reviewed by a senior human. A Prototype Sprint (from $10,000, 3 to 4 weeks) puts a working app on TestFlight; a Launch Build (from $35,000) ships your v1 to the App Store.

Skyriven. We design and build native Mac apps in Swift and SwiftUI, from menu bar utilities to full desktop apps, and ship them to the Mac App Store or as notarized direct downloads. Our own macOS work includes EZKanban, a kanban board in the menu bar, and Blinken, which resurrects the disk-activity light, both free and MIT-licensed. Our space combat game Lunatic Fling is out on the Mac too, as a native app.

Prototype Sprint from $10,000 (3 to 4 weeks). Launch Build from $35,000 (typically 6 to 10 weeks, a production v1 shipped to the App Store, Mac App Store, or the web). After launch, Studio Partner from $7,500/mo keeps new features shipping, or Care from $1,500/mo keeps a live app healthy. Every project gets a fixed-scope proposal after a free 20-minute intro call. No hourly billing.

Partly, if you are a venture-backed or venture-track C-corp. You can pay up to half of a Prototype Sprint or Launch Build fee with a standard YC post-money SAFE at your current valuation cap; the rest is cash. Monthly engagements are cash only. We agree to equity case by case, and the SAFE is signed separately from the project agreement, so get your own legal and tax advice on it.

A working prototype in 3 to 4 weeks, and a production v1 in typically 6 to 10 weeks, including App Store or Mac App Store submission (Apple's review time comes on top). We take on one build at a time, so yours gets the whole studio. You get a build you can tap every week along the way, via TestFlight or a live preview URL.

It means AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Xcode) sit at the center of how we design, build, and test, while a senior human directs the work and reviews every change. The result is native-quality apps on startup timelines. It also means building AI features into your app, like LLM features on the Claude or OpenAI APIs, wherever they earn their place.

You do. Upon payment, you own all code, designs, and accounts, with the full source handed over. No lock-in, no hostage hosting.

The studio's own games and apps, built by founder Marc Hoag. Games: Lunatic Fling (iOS and macOS), Paperwing (iOS), and Isopolis (web). Apps: EZKanban and Blinken (macOS); Saccade and FloodRoute (iOS); Ask Nonna and Finnly (web); and Towne, on the web and as a native iOS app. Plus the open-source AIO-Wizard. Every one has its own page at skyriven.ai/apps.

No. Skyriven is an app development studio and does not provide legal advice or representation. Marc's background as a California-licensed attorney shapes how carefully we handle privacy, data, and App Store policy, but for legal needs, see hoaglaw.ai.
